    On the other hand, if she ever had one of her own daughters be victimized by a sexual crime, this all would change. Sexual crime victims would surely have a friend in Sarah Palin.

      Yes, no doubt. That was part of what I took from Wise’s piece — that white privilege is the privilege of being the exception (in other families this is not ok, in mine it is; in other people this lack of expertise would be unacceptable, in me it is lauded) and being treated as exceptional even when you are much less than.
